Weekly bulletin

I would direct everyone’s attention to our Workday on Saturday, November 14th. Men’s ministry will be preparing breakfast burritos for all who sign up to attend. Deacons will be launching their first meeting of new officers, teams and plans moving forward for a great year of service. Gratitude for all of you who pressed on in our semi-annual effort to treat our community to a great Fall Block Party despite the crazy bad weather we have had leading up to the party. I have already confessed to saying I thought we should just cancel it because of the bad weather and the cancellation of several of our key attractions. And boy, was I wrong! Just the opposite happened as families poured in (forgive the pun) continuously all during the two hours we invited our neighbors inside the church for fellowship, food, games and more. Outstanding work from our workers who were as surprised as I was with the turnout and our lack of faith! God is good and we are so grateful for a successful Fall Block Party. We can also rejoice that the books are closed on our last year’s mission giving in the SBC. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions was $212.5 million, and Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions was $73.6 million! What a blessing for the mission work at home in North America and to the uttermost nations abroad!
