A Word From Your Pastor…

Good Morning to Sunday Bible Study and Worship Service! If you are somewhat new to our church allow me to point you in a great direction for further information about our great church! It is listed in this bulletin as our Next-Steps Class. Almost anything you need to ask or know can be found in this class. Please sign up, if possible, with the QR code. This week some 20 of our ladies attended the state women’s conference Arise in Sedona these last two days and we are all interested to hear how it went! Ladies, don’t be shy about what God has done through this time away and together. It is an annual event for us. Bible teachers and substitutes please take note of our “New Teacher Training” event the second Saturday in October (10th). I want to implore every teacher, and possible future teacher, to come take advantage of this time. We need to all be on the same page for this most valuable ministry. Thank you in advance! Kindrid online giving is now called Amplify. If you want to set up a new email giving account on your phone, you will now need to download the new phone app: My Church Home (in your App store). The Icon looks like a blue circle, with an orange outline of a church with a black cross on top. It will ask what church? You can either enter First Southern Baptist or our zip 85302, then select our church. The churches' web site will direct you where you need to go if you want to give online and not through a phone App. We have had several online givers ask if there is a way they can pay the fee our church is charged for online giving. That is available. Next time you give, there should be a box at the bottom asking if you want to pay the fee (3.13% for credit card, 1.27% for giving from your bank account). Just click that box, and the fee will be added to your giving amount. If you are a recurring online giver, you will need to go into your current recurring giving and adjust your giving there to accept the fee.

Men’s Breakfast

Men of the church! Saturday, October 3rd, is the next Men’s Breakfast! Come enjoy breakfast, fellowship, and a devotional. Breakfast is served at 8:00 AM. $5 donation suggested. Deacon meeting will follow.

New Teacher Training

On Saturday October 10th 10AM – 12PM New teachers, substitute teachers, and anyone interested in biblical teaching skills are invited to this training covering biblical interpretation, curriculum use, and class management. What our ministries are studying

  • Sunday MorningsSundays at 9:00 AM

    September 27th: “Restored Relationship” — Romans 5:1-11,18-21. Face-to-face classes for all ages in the church building at 9:00 AM or online at 9:00 AM.

  • Ladies StudyMonday mornings

    The ladies will be studying through the book “One in a Million” by Priscilla Shirer. 9:15 AM–11:30 AM in rooms #146/148.

  • Ladies Evening StudyMonday evenings

    In this evening study the ladies are going through the 8-week study “The Way of Wisdom” by various Lifeway Women authors. 6:30 PM–8:00 PM. Contact the church office for location.

  • Sunday PreviewWednesday evenings

    In this class, Steve French will give a thorough overview of the upcoming Sunday Bible study lesson. Whether you are a teacher or a Bible study attender, this is a great class for those who are looking to prepare for the lesson! Class meets at 5:00 PM in room #143.

  • Adult DiscipleshipWednesday evenings

    The Theological Education Class, taught by Pastor Andrew, is doing a New Testament Survey. The class meets from 6:00–7:00 PM in rooms #146/148.

  • Prayer MeetingWednesday evenings

    Join our Prayer Group for corporate prayer for our church, community, state, nation and world. The group normally meets from 6:00 PM–7:00 PM in room #147.

  • Men’s Bible StudyThursday mornings

    The men are studying through the book of 1 Corinthians starting at 5:30 AM via Google Meets. Contact Larry Bollinger at larrysellsazhomes@gmail.com to get the meeting link each week.

  • Fabulous FridaysFriday mornings

    Everyone is welcome to join the seniors on Fridays with a potluck at 11:30 AM and a weekly program at 12:00 PM in the foyer! This Friday Terry Titus will share about AZ Disaster Relief. Senior Choir. 10:30 am.
